Choosenick. Notes and observations on service design, as well as other interesting things/thinking. By Nick Marsh.

Design

My design practice is very multi-disciplinary, and I'm fortunate enough to have worked on a very wide range of projects, with a very exciting collection of different people. Integral to my design practice is an interest in writing. For everyday updates and observations, with an emphasis on design for service subscribe to my blog

My real job

I'm currently the Service Design Director at Sidekick Studios. Prior to this I worked at EMC Conchango as a User Experience Consultant / Experience Planner, and prior to that at Engine Service Design.
Over the past five years I've led a wide range of service innovation, design and strategy projects working for clients such as Barnet Council, Philips, Nokia Design, Mercedes-Benz, BAA and Birmingham City University.

These projects have been broad in range and deep in scope. Project types have included disruptive service innovation initiatives, detailed service design specifications and internal service design process transformation. Much of this work is confidential.

My hobby job

Alongside my day job I consult on the design of websites and online interactive projects for small organisations with Jaimes Nel through our consultancy Allotment. Organisations we've worked with include:
